Little by little the " Ecological Centre Kerkinis - Mpelles" was completed, known as "Ojkoperjigitis". Today it can host 70 individuals, schools, associations, private individuals, in two hotels dominated by stone and timber as materials of manufacture, with beautiful traditional apartments and rooms, equipped with cookers, heating and fireplaces.

It allocates comfortable spaces of reception, room of projections and briefing, photograph reports, cafeteria, shop of souvenirs, informative material and types of existence. In the comfortable lounges with the enormous stone fireplaces, that exude picturesque ness the day begins with one rich breakfast.

The afternoon coffee with traditional sweets and home made pies and the ever lasting hours of the night, local raki with home made bread, marvellous wines and cold dishes, accompanies the endless discussions of friends that have certain common characteristics. The love to the nature and the environment and the will to know closely the wonderful wetland of Kerkini.

After one tedious day in wondering around the lake and the mountains, a very beautiful place awaits you in order to rest, sleep and to recover your lost strength, with delicious foods cooked in the oven in the fireplaces of a separate special room.

OIKOPERIIGITIS develops programs of environmental training for schools and other associations and environmental tourism and agro tourism excursions for individuals and companies.
