As the renowned historian Pausanias mentions in “Corinthia” –the second of his ten volume work, during the 2nd century BC, in the temple of Aphrodite, swimming and sailing competitions were held in honour of Dionysus Melanaigidos.

Sailing has always been quite popular in the Argolic Gulf, among locals and foreigners alike. Thus, here you will find many training centres to introduce you to this exciting world.
