Το 1985, σε αυτήν την τοποθεσία στην Αλεόμανδρα, βρισκόταν η εξοχική κατοικία της οικογένειας Κουσαθανά. Η θέα της Δήλου απέναντι, το χρύσισμα της θάλασσας εδώ, στο πιο φωτεινό σημείο του Αιγαίου, γέννησε μια ιδέα. Και ταυτόχρονα ένα όραμα. Για ένα Κάλεσμα. Μια πρόσκληση για φιλοξενία, συνεύρεση, μοίρασμα, ξεκούραση και φυσικά γεύσεις.

Το «Κάλεσμα» είναι μια πρότυπη μονάδα φιλοξενίας με αμιγώς μυκονιάτικη φιλοσοφία. Είναι περισσότερο ένα χωριό και λιγότερο ένα ξενοδοχείο. Το όνειρο του Μάκη Κουσαθανά ήταν να δημιουργηθεί ένας χώρος όπου ο καλεσμένος θα αισθάνεται και θα βιώνει εμπειρίες σαν τις δικές του όταν βρισκόταν εδώ από μικρός.

Θυμάται χαρακτηριστικά την εικόνα, κοιτώντας προς τις Δήλες δίπλα από το καλοδιατηρημένο μέχρι και σήμερα αλώνι, να ανάβει φωτιά ο παππούς του, ο οποίος βρισκόταν απέναντι, με τα πρόβατα, ως σύνθημα για να μεταφερθούν προμήθειες και ψωμί εκεί την επόμενη μέρα. Δεν μπορούσε να φανταστεί τότε πως θα κατάφερνε κάποτε να ολοκληρώσει αυτό το όνειρο. Κι όμως.

Το «Kalesma» αποτελείται από 25 ευρύχωρα, όμοια δωμάτια και δύο βίλες, όλα αμφιθεατρικά χτισμένα στον λόφο, όλα με ιδιωτικές πισίνες και όλα με θέα προς τη θάλασσα. Την αρχιτεκτονική της φιλοσοφίας του παντρέματος της παράδοσης με μοντέρνα, σύγχρονα στοιχεία, ανέλαβε το K-Studio και ο Βαγγέλης Μπόνιος του Studio Bonarchi στόλισε διακοσμητικά, ζεστά και χωρίς υπερβολές τους χώρους. Κάθε σημείο προδιαθέτει σε μια πιο μακρόχρονη παραμονή από μια ολιγοήμερη. Υπάρχει διάσπαρτη η αίσθηση της ξεκούρασης, της χαλάρωσης, της απόδρασης από σκέψεις ταλαιπωρίας και άγχους.

Οι κατοικίες γίνονται το σπίτι του φιλοξενούμενου και όχι απλώς το «δωμάτιο του ξενοδοχείου». Παστέλ αποχρώσεις, λιτά στοιχεία, ψάθα και ξύλο, πέτρα και φυσικό φως να λούζει κάθε γωνιά ανάλογα με τη θέση του ήλιου. Το εξωτερικό ντους στη μικρή αυλή της εισόδου, είναι από τα πιο «οικογενειακά» στοιχεία που έχω δει. Το φυσικό περιβάλλον φιλοξενεί 100 ελαιόδεντρα από ποικιλίες από όλη την Ελλάδα, μια επιλογή από ενδημικά δέντρα, ένα λεμονόκηπο, ένα ζωντανό μποστάνι και περί τα 16.500 φυτά τα οποία σκορπούν αρώματα και μνήμες μέρα και νύχτα. Όλο το συγκρότημα είναι χτισμένο με συνείδηση περιβαλλοντολογική, χρησιμοποιώντας μοντέρνα συστήματα ροής νερού για ψύξη-θέρμανση και όχι φρέον.

Ο χώρος με τις οθόνες των υπολογιστών να ελέγχουν τα πάντα, είναι μια σκηνή από το παρόν και το μέλλον των μοντέρνων κατασκευών. «Η Μύκονος είναι μια τεράστια αγκαλιά», μου λέει ο Μάκης Κουσαθανάς «και οι κάτοικοί της είναι ανοιχτοί και ευέλικτοι σε νέα πράγματα», σημειώνει. Ο ίδιος ανήκει με βεβαιότητα σε αυτό το είδος που περιγράφει.

Απολαμβάνοντας ένα negroni στο υπαίθριο μπαρ, παίζοντας με τις μακριές σκιές που δημιουργεί η θέση του απογευματινού ήλιου, απέναντι από το πιο φωτεινό σημείο της γης, το βλέμμα μου κολλάει στη λέξη «KALESMA», χαραγμένο στο μεγάλο κομμάτι πάγου μέσα στο ποτήρι μου.

Στιγμές πριν το δικό μου κάλεσμα για φαγητό, όπου θα μοιραστούμε όλοι μαζί τις δημιουργίες του σεφ, Κώστα Τσίγκα, στο εστιατόριο Pere Ubu (το οποίο ταξίδεψε εδώ από τη Γλυφάδα), ακροβατώντας στη ράχη των γευστικών εκρήξεων, των τολμηρών συνδυασμών των υλικών, της Μεσογείου και των Κυκλάδων, όλα μαζί σε ένα πιάτο.

Το τσίπουρο με κάνει να αφήσω κάτω το μολύβι και τη φωτογραφική μηχανή, να αφεθώ στην αίσθηση που επιτυγχάνει εύκολα η παρέα και ο χώρος, να νιώσω πως βρίσκομαι σε ένα πραγματικά φιλικό περιβάλλον και να καθίσω απλώς να το απολαύσω. Τι άλλο;
