So, from tomorrow 24 December, the following will apply:

Masks are mandatory both indoors and outdoors.

Especially in public transport and supermarkets, the use of a double mask or the KN-95 high protection mask is compulsory.

Festive events are prohibited both indoors and outdoors. This means that municipal festivities are canceled.
It is recommended to test as much as possible before any social event.

Visitors coming to Greece, even if they have had a PCR test, should retest on the 2nd and 4th day.

Additional restrictive measures are expected to be announced on 3 January, but they will not imply a new lockdown. According to the minister, the new package of measures will concern entertainment, events, teleworking and general measures that will be more strictly observed and will concern activities that are deemed unnecessary.

In addition, the expert committee will meet again on 27 December to reassess the situation and, if necessary, additional measures will be taken before 3 January.

In response to a relevant question, Thanos Plevris noted that no measure regarding the operation of schools is on the table.
Regarding the churches, the Minister said that the measures announced remain in place and noted that there will be as many inspections in the coming period as there have been almost all year.
