The Minister talked about three stages of targeted measures:

  • Places where vaccinated and unvaccinated people enter freely (e.g. supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries, liquor stores). However, in these places the restrictions of one person per 9sqm apply.
  • Places where unvaccinated persons enter after being tested (e.g. workplaces).
  • Food, entertainment and recreational venues where the government’s choice is to allow entry only to vaccinated persons with a certificate of recovery or vaccination. (e.g. museums, theatres, cinemas). In these places, minors will be allowed entry upon presentation of a negative laboratory test or self-examination (as in schools). As specified, unvaccinated persons will also be allowed to enter outdoor catering facilities with a 48-hour negative laboratory test.

Retail outlets will remain open for longer hours, from 10am to 9pm, to avoid overcrowding.

The minister then referred to the vaccination certificate, reiterating the Prime Minister’s announcement that this will remain valid for seven months after the second dose for those over 60 years of age.
