The reason why we will always return to Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki is not only the fulfilment of our expectations in terms of luxurious accommodation, the direct contact with nature and the multiple possibilities offered to spend one’s free time inside and outside the hotel, but mainly the excellent relaxation experience provided: to be able to sleep on an amazing mattress without any noise interrupting your peaceful sleep, to enjoy a bubble bath in a large bathtub and to relax on a huge bed wearing your fluffy bathrobe.
But most of all, to be able to leave all your corona-related worries behind, all your problems and your stressful city schedule, and to descend the marble stairs that lead to the wonderful spaces of Harmonia Spa to treat yourself to a wonderful gift of total relaxation and complete well-being. Women in particular will understand exactly what I mean, since in addition to the massage treatments, there are manicure-pedicure, waxing and facial services.

We opted for the full 90-minute (!) massage treatment with a special fig-scented oil – just to remind us of summer- from a wide range of natural face and body products. We don’t know if it was the music, the evocative atmosphere that made you travel to wellness paradise or the special layout of the space created by the architectural house Alex Kravetz Design, but we felt that in Harmonia Spa we found ourselves again. Or rather that we came out brand new.

There you will also find the carefully designed, modern and luxurious Ian’s bar, inspired by the speak-easy bars of the interwar period, with its art deco aesthetic, black and white mosaic, velvet seats and black marble. Even the detail of the Viennese straw that adorns the bar and seats as a detail is extremely well thought out, aiming to conjure up a Great Gatsby atmosphere in the heart of Thessaloniki. After lying down on the comfortable seats in the nice, delicate booths we ordered a cocktail inspired by the playful images of the great Bob Venable and felt like we were in the heart of Manhattan but still breathing the delicate scent of Thessaloniki. No one, after all, can imagine that there is such an aesthetically pleasing bar in the heart of the casino.
Museum of Illusions Thessaloniki
Every room is a revelation, as the Museum of Illusions is an educational, stimulating and highly entertaining space. Enter a whole world of illusions – “the infinity room”, “the inverted subway”, “the chair illusion” and “the holograms”-, learn how they are created and take endless amazing photos with your friends. We definitely enjoyed it to our heart’s content.
