Cinema by the Pool – Cinema nights under the stars

Like last summer, the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki is devoting its Wednesday nights to film screenings. The big screen is set by the pool for hotel guests, as well as visitors, to enjoy box-office hits and art-house films from various parts of the world at a special setting on a weekly basis. The hotel’s poolside summer screenings series, Cinema by the Pool, gets underway June 15 with “Sideways”, a film by Oscar-winning director Alexander Payne, for filmgoers who appreciate quality humour and good wine. Gastronomy is also a key part of the series’ second film, “The Hundred-Foot Journey”, a comedy about the rivalry of two restaurants at a French village, scheduled to be screened on June 22. It will be followed, on June 29, by “Bridge of Spies”, a historical drama by Steven Spielberg starring Tom Hanks, and, on July 6, by “Eat, Pray, Love”, a film starring Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem, which will fill the big screen with images and flavours from all over the world. Cinema by the Pool filmgoers will, at no extra cost, be able to choose from five comfort-food choices as ideal accompaniment for the films.

Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki an ideal venue for major international conferences and meetings

On June 9 and 10, Thessaloniki had the honor of hosting a summit meeting for the South-Εast Europe Cooperation Process – SEECP, a major event in international relations and diplomacy. The event was chaired by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and featured the participation of leaders and foreign ministers representing twelve countries. They included German chancellor Olaf Scholz and the president of the European Council Charles Michel.
