Corfu has an international airport that receives flights from Athens (1hr), Thessaloniki, as well as other European cities.

There are direct flights available from London, Paris, and other cities in the UK and France. From London, EasyJet and Ryan Air offer direct flights starting from March 27th, with EasyJet flying daily and Ryan Air flying 3 times a week. During high season, there are more flight options available from various UK regions including Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Cardiff.

From Paris, Transavia starts its direct flights on April 5th and EasyJet also offers a daily direct flight in the summer. Other European cities with direct flights to Corfu include Frankfurt, Rome, Munich, Brussels, Prague, Stuttgart, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Barcelona. Direct flights with EasyJet are available from cities such as Amsterdam, Belfast, Berlin, Bristol, Geneva, London Gatwick, London Luton, Lyon, Manchester, Milan, Naples, and Paris CDG. Direct flights with Ryan Air are also available.

By boat

If driving, or island hopping it is connected by ferry to a few islands (Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Paxi) ,take a ferry from Patra and Igoumenitsa in Greece or Venice, Bari, and Ancona in Italy.

Buses

For travel to Corfu, take a KTEL bus from Athens Terminal A to Igoumenitsa, where a ferry to Corfu is available (11 hours).

On the island, buses run between Corfu Town and other towns/villages. There are two lines: Green KTEL buses from the Corfu Town terminal and Blue suburban buses from San Rocco Square. Get schedules at either bus depot, and purchase tickets (around €5) there or on the bus.

Taxis

Taxis in Corfu are affordable if you stick to set rates. To avoid overpaying, it’s best to agree on a fare beforehand if you’re hiring a taxi for a specific amount of time. Taxis are available at popular locations in Corfu Town, such as San Rocco Square, the Esplanade, the airport, the Old Port Square, and the New Port. Most drivers can communicate in English. Keep in mind that traveling long distances on the island can be expensive.
