Kastani

Skopelos’ famous ‘Mamma Mia! beach’. Silver sand and pebbles line the beach found at the end of a steep track 13km (8.1 miles) west of Skopelos Town. The waters are perfect – calm and blue. Sun loungers can be hired for €7. There is a large beach bar (May to early October).

Panormos

Stunning curved beach. Calm waters and pine-covered hills frame this gorgeous grey-pebble bay and low-key resort, 11km (6.1 miles) west of Skopelos Town. There are several tavernas, sunbeds, hotels and apartments.

Perivoliou

Can sometimes get windy due to its hidden-away location on Skopelos’ northeast coast. A 25-minute drive from Glossa, beyond the disused 17th-century Agios Taxiarchis Monastery. There is a beach cafe in Summer. Green hills give way to rocky outcrops, transparent water and a grey-sand cove.

Velanio

A quiter, sandy beach, Velanio is Skopelos’ official nudist beach, 5km (3.2 miles) south of the main town. There are sunbeds and a mellow beach bar.

Agnontas

On the southwest coast, a great spot where pine trees lead down to the idyllic water’s edge. The fishing port of Agnontas, 4km (2.9 miles) west of Stafylos, has a tiny pebble-and-sand beach overlooked by a cluster of good seafront tavernas.

Stafylos

The beach bar is busy at this popular location just 5km south of Skopelos Town. A sand-and-pebble beach is bordered by pine trees and dotted. Sun loungers are available.

Limnonari

A sheltered and sandy beach just 8km Southwest of Skopelos Town. There are a couple of tavernas and sunbeds are available.

Milia

The longest beach on the island, with white sand mixed with pebbles. About 13km (8.1 miles) west of Skopelos Town, and just 1km from Panormos village. Milia has a few apartments and a couple of tavernas. Great for snorkelling.
