Artemis, the Olympian goddess of hunting, wild nature and animals, gave her name to a modern architectural gem, located in Triantaros, a charming village in Tinos Island.

Villa Artemis is bathed in light, a basic prerequisite for all those who wish to unplug and recharge. Modern architecture and tradition engage in an open dialogue, with no one echoing louder than the other· instead, they manage to actually complement one another. Clean lines, essential shapes and geometric volumes offer serenity and comfort.

Both in the interior and the exterior design of the villa, sterile copies of the strong iconographic models of Tinos traditional architecture were avoided. Instead, traditional architecture elements were reconceived so as to convey the essence of the local spirit and tradition rather than merely the image. Hence, natural materials, such as wood or the stone from the excavation of the plot, were used in their original form, creating a warm interior atmosphere.

Everything you need to spend the rest of your life right here

Wood, wicker and rattan bring a rustic feel to the living room, dining room and bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom were designed with functionality as the main focus. Artemis features everything one needs to live here forever with a lasting feeling of euphoria; a spacious sofa, a minimalist coffee table, a bookcase, stylish lamps, a large round mirror, a fireplace.

The layout of the residence makes the most out of the view. The individual spaces are arranged linearly and panoramically with a common reference to the view of the Aegean Sea, the main protagonist.

Wooden pergolas and partitions help in shading and controlling the light, while the external thermal facade and under floor heating systems both ensure that the house has low energy consumption. The lighting is specially designed to highlight the residence’s lines and materials.

Easy living

The concept of sustainability is evident in all parts of the residence. Shaping a sustainable and resilient future takes action and planning in the present. Our respect for nature should be continuous and reflected in each and every one of our creations. In architecture, simplicity, which maintains a lifelong relationship with timelessness, plays a critical role.

Utilitarian furniture and decorative elements make life in this residence comfortable. Their design is easy on the eyes, creating space for expression.

Designed with respect to the architectural style of the traditional settlement

Easy living aesthetics combined with a modern look at the Tinian idiom of Cycladic architecture. Villa Artemis rewards the senses and keeps its windows open, letting the vitalizing sunlight and the characteristic sun-kissed Tinos’ breeze in.

The villa is part of a complex of seven newly built houses in the heart of Triantaros, Tinos, designed with respect to the architectural style of the traditional settlement and with a desire to connect with the island’s spirit and culture.
