Average prices for online hotel bookings covering July have remained steady, compared to the previous month, with just minor price changes for leading international destinations, according to related data collected through the Trivago search engine by Travel.gr.

Despite the month-to-month price stability, average hotel prices have risen sharply compared to levels from July last year. The online price for one night at an Athens hotel (double room) averages 143 euros for this July, up from an average price of 108 euros in July, 2021.

Elsewhere in Europe, Amsterdam hotel prices this month average 238 euros per night, up from 134 euros in July last year; the Barcelona average this July is 234 euros from 141 euros a year earlier; Berlin’s average is 163 euros, up from 101 euros; Brussels is at 155 euros from 121 euros; a Dublin hotel room averages 283 euros per night from 150 euros last July; Lisbon is at 193 euros from 117 euros; London’s hotel price average in July is 287 euros, up from 156 euros in July, 2021; Madrid averages 54 euros from 106 euros; Paris is at 246 euros from 151 euros; Rome averages 172 euros, up from 112 a year earlier; Vienna’s hotel-room average is 154 euros from 120 euros; and the average price for a night at a Zurich hotel this month is 257 euros, up from 192 euros a year earlier.

As for July’s average online price per night for hotels at leading destinations beyond Europe: Bangkok’s average for July this year is 56 euros, up from 43 euros in July, 2021; Buenos Aires reached 107 euros per night from 53 euros a year earlier; Cairo averaged 112 euros from 76 euros; Chicago’s average is 331 euros from 198 euros; Dubai is at 149 euros from 111 euros; Hong Kong’s average is 102 euros from 74 euros; Johannesburg’s average is 75 euros from 68 euros; the Las Vegas average is 194 euros from 160 euros; Melbourne’s average price for a hotel room this July is 166 euros from 129 euros a year earlier; Miami’s average is 238 euros from 232 euros; New York hotel prices average 336 euros per night, up from 205 euros; Rio de Janeiro is at 72 euros, up from 48 euros; San Francisco is averaging 266 euros, up from 171 euros a year earlier; Seoul is at 88 euros, from 69 euros; Shanghai hotel prices average 114 euros from 101 euros; the Singapore average is 183 euros, up from 122 euros a year earlier; Sydney is at 167 euros, up from 129 euros; the Tokyo hotel price average is 99 euros, down from 127 euros a year earlier; and Toronto’s average is up to 311 euros from 154 euros.
